Gregory Tompkins, a juvenile, is charged with alleged assaults and theft at an Orange County detention center.
Gregory Tompkins, a juvenile who is currently being held at the Orange County detention center, is currently facing many criminal accusations as a result of a violent incident that occurred last week.
According to the allegations, Tompkins used a shank to intimidate and take keys from a Goshen Secure employee, which was the first in a series of assaults that took place within the facility.
According to the reports brought up by the police, Tompkins not only assaulted the employee described above, but he also targeted another member of the staff. It was via the use of the stolen keys that he was able to obtain access to a different portion of the detention center, where he proceeded to assault two residents.
Despite the fact that there were multiple fights that broke out between other convicts throughout the incident, no additional arrests were made. While the authorities continue their investigation into the incident and address the allegations that have been brought against Gregory Tompkins, he is now being held in the Orange County Jail.
