Jasiel Correia, the former mayor of Fall River serving prison time for fraud and extortion, has undergone a series of transfers across federal prisons in the past month, marking his fourth relocation since the commencement of his incarceration.

As per the federal inmate log, the 32-year-old is presently housed in Oklahoma City at an administrative security Federal Transfer Center as the Fall River Herald News reported.

His recent move to Oklahoma City follows a trajectory of transfers that began approximately a year and a half into his imprisonment in New Hampshire. The Fall River Herald News reported that around November 30, Correia was initially transferred to a Philadelphia prison through the Metropolitan Detention Center in Brooklyn, N.Y.

According to the Federal Bureau of Prisons, it is very likely that his imprisonment in Oklahoma will not exceed sixty days before he is transferred to another facility.

Correia, who was only 23 years old at the time of his election in 2015, became the youngest person to ever be elected mayor of Fall River.

However, his political career took a drastic turn six years later when he was convicted on charges related to extortion and wire fraud. Prosecutors stated that he had extorted substantial amounts from marijuana dispensary operators seeking to establish businesses in Fall River.

Additionally, he was determined to be responsible for investors being defrauded in connection with his smartphone application known as SnoOwl.

Following a number of unsuccessful attempts to postpone his six-year sentence, Jasiel Correia was initially reported to a medium-security Federal Correctional Institution (FCI) in Berlin, New Hampshire, in April of 2022. It was in November of that year that his appeal was turned down.

He is scheduled to be released on October 29th, 2026.
